About Me: Tell me a little bit about yourself
I am 24 years old and am an auditor by profession. I currently work for GlaxoSmithKline Bangladesh Ltd. as their Manager of Internal Audit. I finished my graduation in 2007 from Ohio Wesleyan University, USA in Accounting & Philosophy. I worked for Ernst & Young in McLean, VA after that as an auditor. I have recently moved back to my country, Bangladesh and am working here now.
What have you learned from being a special sibling?
It totally changes your life and the perspectives you have in life about almost everything. You stop thinking that these things only happen to other people. It becomes a harsh reality that you face every day of your life and there's no ending that feeling. Also, your resilience gets tested as when he was still alive but sick , I used to sometimes get really frustrated and hopeless. Regrettably, sometimes I also felt extreme anger, towards whom or what I don't know. And the pain that he went through every single day just broke my heart and it taught me to treasure every single day of being healthy. I just wish that no one has to go through this traumatizing experience as honestly speaking the damage that it leaves behind is irreparable.
